Types are common definitions for your activities, tasks and notes within Element451. Creating custom types enables your team members to categories what they track during your recruitment process.
Create Activity, Task and Note Types
Manage your Activity, Task and Note Types in Settings.
Settings > Activity, Task and Note Types
Select the blue plus button in the lower left corner to create a new type.
Create a name for the type and choose an icon to represent it.
Select "Create" to save the new type.
Using Types
All types are shared between Activities, Tasks and Notes. New types you create will be available when creating these items.
Using Activity Types
Types when Creating New Activities
Select your new type when creating a Activity on the student record.
Manually create a new Activity on the student record by clicking the plus button on the Activity card.
See your new type in the Type dropdown menu.
Finish filling out the fields and save the Activity.
Viewing Custom Activity Types on the Student Record
When viewing Activities on the student record, Activities using types you have created will appear in the "Custom" tab.
Segmenting by Custom Activity Types
When creating Segments, use the "Custom Activities" filter to Segment by Activities with your defined Types.
Using Task Types
Types when Creating New Tasks
Select your new type when creating a Task.
Manually create a new Task on the student record by clicking the plus button on the Tasks card.
See your new type in the Type dropdown menu.
Segmenting by Task Type
When creating Segments, use the Task > Type filter to Segment by Task with your defined types.
Viewing Types in the Tasks Module
In the Tasks module, see your types in the type column when viewing all tasks.
Using Note Types
Types when Creating New Tasks
Select your new type when creating a Note.
Manually create a new Note on the student record by clicking the plus button on the Notes card.
See your new type in the Note Type dropdown menu.
Segmenting by Note Type
When creating Segments, use the Note > Type filter to Segment by Notes with your defined types.
