What's Coming to Case Management [Beta]

A look at the Case Management capabilities still in development during Open Beta, on the way to general availability.

Written by Michael Stephenson

šŸš€ Case Management is in Open Beta

Case Management is live and ready to use for our Student Success partners. However, please note that is still actively evolving and you may notice things shift as we continue making improvements. This article covers what's on the way before general availability so you know what to expect.

Overview

Open Beta means Case Management is in your hands now, and we're continuing to build toward general availability based on what partners need most. Below is what's actively in development. This list will evolve as features ship, and the items here are subject to change as we refine them with your feedback.

Major capabilities in development

Timeline (Activity Feed)

A chronological, event-by-event history on every Alert and Case—who did what and when. The Timeline gives you full auditability and makes handoffs between staff seamless, so context is never reconstructed from memory or scattered notes.

Import, Export, and API

Tools to get Alert and Case data in and out of Element451: bulk import and export, a public API, and external IDs for connecting to third-party systems. This makes your Case Management data portable and integration-ready.

Copilot for Case Management

A context-aware Copilot for case workers, with Case Management and Student Success shortcuts built into the sidebar—so staff can ask questions and take action without hunting through the platform.

Refinements we're making

Alongside the major capabilities above, we're polishing the experience based on beta-partner feedback. Notable items include:

  • Portal student scoping — limiting each Portal user's student list to only the students they are related to (through course enrollments and network roles), rather than all students.

  • Faster, easier search — finding Alerts and Cases by more details, such as Student ID and email.

šŸ’¬ Your feedback shapes this list. The priorities above come directly from what partners tell us. Share what's working, request what you'd like to see, and compare notes with other schools in the Element451 Community.
