Creating Unsubscribe Links

On this page, we will cover:

  • How to include an unsubscribe option in your communications using Element451's pre-made footer blocks

  • How to manually create an unsubscribe button or link

In the Campaigns module, all of Element451's footer blocks include an unsubscribe option.

The unsubscribe text in this pre-created footer block already links to an unsubscribe token for that recipient. When the recipient clicks to unsubscribe, Element451 will automatically link that action to the recipient's Element451 profile based on the personalized unsubscribe token included in the link.

To manually create an unsubscribe email link simply add the unsubscribe token to the URL of a hyperlink. For example:

  1. Add the text that you want the recipient to click on to unsubscribe: for example, "Unsubscribe from this list".

  2. Highlight the text and select the insert link button

  3. Add the unsubscribe token: [custom:unsubscribe]

  4. Save

πŸ“™ Note: Opting people out of receiving certain communications is an important function to remain in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act.
