Managing Milestones

📙 Note: You must have a milestones card displayed on your profile template. Learn more about Bolt Profile Templates.

Viewing a User's Milestones

  1. Navigate to Contacts > People or use the search bar in the top right corner to search the student's name.

  2. Click on their name to open the profile.

  3. Look for the Milestones card on the user profile. You can also search for it using the search bar.

  4. Here, you can see which milestones a user has reached and easily determine, for example, if they have started an application. Each milestone will have additional fields to collect metadata. For the “Application Start Date” milestone, for instance, that information could be which application the user started in addition to the date that the application was started.

  5. To expand the list of milestones, click the arrow next to Activity or click the More button.

Manually Adding a Milestones

  1. Click the plus sign from the profile card or the blue Add Milestone button from the Bolt Sheet.

  2. Select the date, time, and type for the milestone. Based on the type you choose, you will be asked to fill in additional information.

  3. When you're finished, click Save.

Editing and Deleting Milestones

  1. Click the three dots to the right of the milestone you wish to edit or delete.

  2. Select Edit or Delete.

Milestones are an important aspect of determining funnel stages and a useful way to filter your prospects and applicants. You can learn more about funnel stages here.

📙 Note: Funnel stages are based on the milestone types listed above and in that order. To qualify for a particular funnel stage, a user cannot have any milestones for further stages.
