Overview Header

We’ve improved how unsubscribe requests are processed when recipients click the unsubscribe link in campaign messages. Now, users are asked to enter their email address before being unsubscribed. This ensures that only the specific email address entered is removed from future communications. The update is especially important for campaigns using CC’d contacts or Guardian tokens—such as when a parent receives the same message as a student—so that if a parent unsubscribes, only their email is affected, not the student’s.

Details Header
  • Email entry required when unsubscribing via a campaign email link.

  • Individual unsubscription ensures only the email address entered by the user is removed.

  • Safeguards campaign logic in multi-recipient messages (e.g., guardians and students).

  • Prevents unintended unsubscribes from shared or forwarded emails.

Benefit Header

This update provides more precise control over unsubscribe actions and protects the integrity of multi-contact campaigns by ensuring only the intended recipient is removed from future messages.
