Zendesk Knowledge Source Integration (Closed Beta) | March 2026

Updated today

Released: March 31, 2026

As part of a new beta release, Bolt Knowledge now supports Zendesk as a native knowledge source. Instead of relying on the web crawler to scrape Zendesk help center articles (which could be blocked by Zendesk login or Cloudflare or other security layers), this integration connects directly to Zendesk's API to pull article content reliably. Users configure their Zendesk subdomain, email, and API token, then select which articles Bolt AI should learn from. This ensures consistent, complete knowledge ingestion from Zendesk help centers.

  • Zendesk as a knowledge source type: A new "Zendesk" option is available when adding a source in Knowledge Hub, alongside existing source types.

  • API-based authentication: Connect using your Zendesk subdomain, email address, and an API token (generated in Zendesk Admin).

  • Article visibility controls: Toggle whether to include staff-only articles and login-required articles, giving you control over what content Bolt AI can access.

  • Daily sync: Enable the "Sync daily?" toggle to automatically keep your knowledge base up to date with changes made in Zendesk.

  • Selective article ingestion: After connecting, a list of available Zendesk Help Center articles is displayed with Select All / Deselect All controls, so you can choose exactly which articles to learn.

Institutions that use Zendesk for support documentation and content can now feed that knowledge into their Element451 Knowledge Hub without crawler-related failures, ensuring students and staff get accurate, up-to-date answers.
