Overview Header

Bolt Deduplication is now available for every institution from Contacts > Deduplication. Until now, deduplication compared fields and handed your team a match percentage to interpret. This release replaces score-reading with decision review. Bolt Analysis evaluates each potential duplicate the way a trained reviewer would, then shows its work, a confidence level, plain-language reasoning, the key signals behind the match, any concerns against it, and a recommended record to keep.

Detection runs automatically in the background whenever a contact record is created or updated. There is nothing to configure, and nothing ever merges on its own. Your team reviews and confirms every merge, one pair at a time or in bulk.

Prefer the classic experience?

The legacy Deduplication module is still fully supported. Switch between Bolt Deduplication and the legacy experience anytime from the page header, and Element451 remembers your choice per user. Teams can run both while they build trust in Bolt's analysis.

Details Header
  • Bolt Analysis on every pair: When key identity fields change (like name, email, phone, or date of birth), Element451 detects the change, generates likely candidates, and runs a deep analysis on pairs that look like real duplicates.

  • Confidence levels: Every flagged pair gets a color-coded High, Medium, or Low rating so reviewers can scan the queue and start where it counts.

  • Reasoning, key signals, and concerns: Each pair explains why it was flagged, the data points that drove the conclusion, and the evidence that argues against the match.

  • Recommended record: Bolt suggests which record to keep as primary if you merge. Reviewers can always override that record manually.

  • A review queue built for context: Columns surface what signals matched, such as date of birth, name and email, with search by name and date filters to narrow the work. Timestamps display in your institution's timezone.

  • Field-level merging: Choose the surviving value where records conflict. Data that exists on only one record carries over automatically.

  • Dismiss and revisit: Not a duplicate? Dismiss the pair and both records stay untouched. Dismissed pairs can be undone from the history.

  • Save for later: Need to look further into a potential duplicate but not now? Instead of being forced to dismiss or merge, you can now save the pair and come back to it later with the filters!

  • Bulk Merge with Bolt: Select vetted pairs and merge them in one pass. Element451 preflights the batch and holds back unsafe pairs with the reason shown, the confirmation shows the average confidence across your selection, and every merge applies the same survivor and field selections that individual review would show. Optional Review Selection lets you inspect any pair first, and the completion summary reports every pair as merged, skipped, needs review, or failed.

Benefit Header

Duplicate queues are usually a time problem, not a detection problem. With every pair pre-investigated, High-confidence matches become quick confirmations, Medium pairs arrive with the judgment call framed, and new staff can read why two records matched. The result is a cleaner database with every decision still in your team's hands. Bolt Deduplication is available from Contacts > Deduplication.
