Released: August 15, 2025

We’ve enhanced our deduplication process to better handle Social Security Numbers (SSNs) when identifying and resolving duplicate records. These updates improve how the system recognizes different SSN formats and provide internal users with more visibility and control.

  • Improved SSN Recognition: The system now accounts for formatting differences (e.g., with dashes, without dashes, or with spaces) when evaluating potential duplicates.

  • High-confidence Detection: SSN + Name alone is now considered sufficient for high-confidence duplicate detection.

  • Refined Scoring: Our scoring model continues to factor in SSN matches but now weights them more heavily (95%+ confidence) due to their uniqueness.

  • Permission-based SSN Visibility: Internal users with the “View Full SSN” permission can now see full SSNs when merging records.

These enhancements make duplicate detection more accurate and reliable, while giving users greater control over how SSNs are displayed and preserved in records.
