Released: July 29, 2026
This update brings four improvements to application sites. Tips and Info guidance is now much easier for applicants to find: the header button has a more visible design, sections with guidance get their own labeled button, and every button label is customizable. Checklist items now show clear status chips instead of checkbox-style indicators that students often mistook for buttons. Every application site now includes an auto-generated QR code you can download for print and sharing, just like Events, Forms, and Surveys. And you can now hide the confetti graphics on the Admitted and Conditional Offer dashboard greeting messages when that visual treatment is not the right fit.
1 | Redesigned Tips and Info on Applications
Clearer entry points for guidance: previously, one Tips and Info button in the application header quietly changed its content depending on whether students were viewing the dashboard, a step, or an expanded section, which made guidance easy to miss.
More visible header button: the header button has a new, more prominent design and now shows your:

Step guidance within a Step
Sections get their own button: sections with sidebar content display a labeled button right in the section header, alongside a new expand/collapse indicator. Section guidance no longer replaces step guidance, so students can open either at any time.
Customizable button labels at every level, with "Tips and Info" as a default.
No rebuilding required: existing sidebar content carries over automatically, and the builder now clearly distinguishes the Custom Step Sidebar from the Custom Section Sidebar so you always know where guidance will appear.
2 | Clearer Checklist Status Indicators
Status chips replace circle indicators on the application checklist. The old circles looked like checkboxes students could click, even though checklist completion is tracked automatically.
Consistent with the sidebar: the chips use the same status treatment already shown in the application sidebar and update as items complete.
No behavior changes: how checklist items complete stays exactly the same; this i a visual clarity update.
3 | Auto-Generated QR Codes for Application Sites
Every application site now has a QR code encoding its public URL, available in the site settings, matching Events, Forms, and Surveys.
Download for print and sharing so flyers, signage, and tabling events can send students to the right application without a third-party QR generator.
Always current: the QR code stays in sync with the site URL if the URL changes.
4 | Hide Confetti on Dashboard Greeting Messages
New "show confetti" toggle in the Admitted and Conditional Offer greeting message settings lets you turn off the confetti graphics when they do not match the decision context.
Nothing changes by default: confetti stays on for all existing greeting messages unless you turn it off.
Applicants see instructions right next to the section they apply to instead of missing guidance tucked away in a side panel, and checklists now read as clear progress status instead of inviting clicks that do nothing. Departments can point students to the correct application from any flyer or sign with a single scan. And decision messages can stay on brand for every context, including needs-based and scholarship decisions where confetti is not the right tone.
