View Masked SSN Permission
A new View Masked SSN permission has been added to provide administrators with more granular control over how Social Security numbers are displayed throughout the platform. Organizations can now choose whether users are allowed to view the last four digits of a Social Security number or whether the value is fully masked.
Dynamic Assignment Using Network Roles in Conversation Rules, Workflows, and Case Management Automation Rules
Conversation Rules and the Create Task action in Workflows have supported dynamic assignment through the Contact Assignee token, which routes work to the staff member assigned to the contact. With this update, those same surfaces now also support the Network Role token, so conversations and tasks can be routed to any internal user connected to the contact through a Network Role, such as their Academic Advisor or Financial Aid Counselor. Anywhere the token is used, the record is assigned to the internal user connected to that contact through the selected role, with no static user or team required.
Timeline for Case Management
Alerts and Cases now include a Timeline that shows a chronological record of what changed, who changed it, and when. Previously, staff working an alert or case had to reconstruct context from internal notes, related records, and memory, with no audit trail on the entity itself. Alerts get a new Timeline tab on the Details sheet, and Cases get a dedicated Timeline tab that mirrors the activity feed on a contact profile. Internal notes are bridged into the Timeline, so posting a note appears as its own activity entry. This helps provide auditability and makes case handoffs far easier.
Improved Email Delivery for Authenticated Sender Domains
Element451 leverages SendGrid, one of the world’s largest email infrastructure providers, to power email delivery across the platform. As part of protecting sender reputation and improving deliverability, SendGrid maintains suppression lists that prevent emails from being sent to recipients who have previously experienced delivery issues, unsubscribed, or reported messages as spam.
View Payment Permission
A new View Payments permission has been added to provide more granular control over who can access payment information. To ensure a seamless transition, users who previously had access to payment history through existing profile-related permissions will automatically retain that access after this update. Administrators can continue managing payment access through role permissions without disrupting existing user access.
Applications + Decisions
Improved
Added the "Intended School" field as an available token in decision letters, enabling institutions to personalize decision communications with each student's intended school information.
Added the ability for applicants to clear a previously selected value from optional dropdown and radio button fields, returning the field to a blank state.
Added built-in QR code generation for application sites, so staff can view and download a site's QR code directly from its settings for use on flyers, signage, and events.
Added the ability for schools to show or hide the confetti graphics in the application dashboard greeting messages for Admitted and Conditional Offer decisions, keeping the greeting on-brand when a celebratory visual is not appropriate.
Replaced the interactive-looking checklist indicators on application checklists with clear status chips, so applicants no longer mistake system-driven items for clickable actions.
Added an Edit option to the locked Date of Birth field in applications, so applicants can correct their date of birth through a confirmation dialog instead of the field remaining permanently locked. A blank Date of Birth field stays directly editable.
Fixed
Resolved an issue where document exports generated duplicate Application Overview PDFs for records with multiple applications, even when only one application was submitted.
Resolved an issue where visibility group access did not carry over to the Decision module, causing users to see fewer decision records than expected even when the associated applications were within their visibility group.
Resolved an issue where an information request appeared for a student despite the student not meeting the request's display conditions.
Resolved an issue where conditionally required fields, such as SSN, were not counted in the section completion progress when made visible, allowing applicants to continue without entering required data.
Resolved an issue where a payment popup prevented students from completing their application fee payment.
Appointments
Improved
Fixed
Resolved an issue where reassigning an appointment to a different staff member did not update Outlook calendar sync, leaving the event on the original assignee's calendar.
Resolved an issue where appointment confirmation autoresponder emails were not consistently appearing in the person's Activity Feed.
Bolt Agents for Students
Improved
Improved the Agent Test Console response details, replacing dense technical output with clearer, user-friendly language and a scrollable detail panel, and made it easier to tell when a custom skill, native skill, or backend tool was used.
Added a new Enroll in Rule action for Custom Skills, allowing Bolt Agents to enroll students directly into automation Rules during a conversation.
Added dynamic transfer targets to the @Transfer Call action in Custom Skills. Calls can now be transferred to the office phone of the contact's assignee or of a staff member connected to the contact through a Network Role, with a configurable fallback when the destination cannot be resolved.
Fixed
Resolved an issue where the (Beta) Voice Agent in messenger mode began speaking before the user provided any input, sometimes continuing context from a prior conversation.
Resolved an issue where the "end call" button in Messenger voice mode did not properly end the call, allowing the agent to continue speaking after the user pressed it.
Resolved an issue where (Beta) Voice Agents switched to an incorrect language after a hand-off, even when the caller continued speaking in English.
Resolved an issue where the (Beta) Voice Agent repeated its opening greeting when background noise triggered voice activity detection, causing the agent to restart its introduction unnecessarily.
Resolved an issue where the Bolt Agent interpreted a numeric SMS reply using older conversation history instead of the most recent campaign prompt, causing incorrect responses.
Bolt Agents for Staff
Improved
Fixed
Bolt Agent Jobs
Improved
Fixed
Resolved an issue where a Bolt Agent Job referenced the wrong day of the week, causing scheduled actions to behave incorrectly when the system misidentified the current date.
Bolt Discovery
Improved
Fixed
Bolt Knowledge Hub
Improved
Fixed
Resolved an issue where website knowledge sources could remain indefinitely in a loading state with no status indicator or error feedback after a crawl failed to complete.
Campaigns
Improved
Added automatic clearing of email suppressions for authenticated sender domains, reducing the manual work needed to restore deliverability for bounced recipients on verified domains.
Fixed
Resolved an issue where an invalid reply-to email address could be saved in campaign configuration, causing email sends to fail between workflow execution and delivery. The reply-to field now validates input before saving.
Resolved an issue where the Assignee Email token could not be saved in the Reply Address field when duplicating or updating an email communication.
Resolved an issue where saving changes to an SMS campaign failed with an error when a message variation field had been left blank. Blank variation fields now fall back to the default version's content instead of blocking the save.
Resolved an issue where button link tokens rendered as raw HTML in test emails instead of displaying the formatted button.
Resolved an issue where the email editor's add-content and settings panels did not respond when the editor was in full-screen mode, preventing users from editing emails.
Case Management (Open Beta)
Improved
Added Bolt Agent Jobs integration for Cases, enabling staff to enroll contacts in automated agent outreach directly from a case and track job activity on the case's Jobs tab.
Added a Timeline activity feed to Alerts and Cases, giving staff a chronological record of all changes, assignee updates, and status transitions directly on each entity.
Improved the Faculty Portal experience with visual and usability refinements, including a new Manage Account option in the avatar menu for updating personal information and profile pictures.
Added missing fields and Case Template support to the Create Case rule action, bringing it to parity with manually created cases.

Added Case Status Updated and Alert Status Updated as Bolt Agent Job triggers, enabling automated enrollment when case or alert statuses change.
Added section headings to the Alert Reviewer and Case Assignee dropdowns, organizing options by Users, Teams, and Tokens for easier scanning.
Fixed

Resolved an issue where deleting a Portal User failed with a "Something went wrong" error, preventing user removal.
Resolved an issue where the new Alert creation form displayed "Assignee" instead of "Reviewer" as the field label.
Resolved an issue where cases created by the Create Case rule action did not appear in the Cases index.
Conversations

Resolved an issue where conversation handoff rules did not trigger when configured with label or segment conditions on conversations initiated by Bolt Agent Jobs.
Resolved an issue where preview and test conversations with the default Bolt Agent were appearing in the All Conversations inbox.
Resolved an issue where students with phone numbers in the new US area code 324 could not receive text messages.
Resolved an issue where emails were not threading correctly in Conversations, causing inconsistent grouping of related email messages.
Resolved an issue where playback for recorded phone calls was not working on the conversations page, requiring users to download the audio file to listen to recordings.
Resolved an issue where the Bolt Agent assignment bar was missing when an internal user started a conversation, preventing staff from assigning agents to manually initiated email and SMS conversations.
Courses
Improved
Fixed
Resolved an issue where grade risk detection was not reset when a course was deleted, set to inactive, or an enrollment ended, causing stale risk indicators to persist on student records.
Data + Insights
Improved
Fixed
Resolved an issue where connectors (such as Google Drive) that were automatically disabled did not surface the underlying reason, leaving disconnections unexplained in the connectors list and detail view.

Resolved an issue where segment date and time filters evaluated stored UTC values instead of the timezone-adjusted values shown on records.
Resolved an issue where no notification was sent when a scheduled import or export was automatically disabled after three consecutive failures. The task author now receives an email explaining that the schedule was turned off and why.
Resolved an issue where segment filters using custom date/time fields did not save correctly, duplicating the filter and clearing the selected dates.
Events
Improved
Fixed
Resolved an issue where the email editor was unresponsive when editing event messages, with the full-screen view and the add-content and settings panels opening behind the email window.

Other Important Updates
Retired: ICS Calendar Feed
The Appointments calendar feed (ICS) export has been retired as part of ongoing platform maintenance and security improvements. This feature, sometimes referred to as Export as Link or the live calendar feed, previously generated a subscribable calendar URL that users could add to Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, or other calendar applications to view booked appointments.
Support for Older Zapier Versions Ending
The Element451 Zapier integration has been updated to the latest supported version, 4.2.14, as part of ongoing platform maintenance and security improvements. Older versions of the integration are being retired and will no longer function after July 6, 2026. Customers using the Zapier integration should review their existing Zaps and update any workflows using older integration versions to version 4.2.14 (or later). Updating ensures continued compatibility with the Element451 platform and helps prevent disruptions to automated workflows.
