Monthly Release Notes: June 2024

This article keeps you informed about the latest developments from Element451. Every month, we spotlight everything from bug fixes and subtle improvements to exciting new features and significant enhancements.

Fixes and Improvements

Applications | Decisions

  • Improved

    • Implemented a preview in the sidesheet for Decision documents, eliminating the need to download documents to view them.

    • Enhanced the checklist functionality by adding a “We’ve waived” section with a yellow status checkmark to clearly differentiate waived items from received ones in the Application site.

    • Supplemental form submissions now appear in the application viewer document list.

    • Implemented reverse chronological order sorting for multiple applications based on application registration date on the application site, aligning with the sort order used for profile cards.

  • Fixed

    • Resolved a phone validation issue where phone numbers on applications required a “1” prefix to be accepted.

    • Resolved an issue where the "Sign In" and "Start Application" buttons were inaccessible via keyboard navigation.

    • Ensured all buttons within an application are now keyboard accessible and highlighted when selected for improved navigation using the keyboard.

    • Resolved an issue where supplemental form submissions did not display correctly in the Application Viewer.

Appointments

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue where private appointment types were still visible in the appointments site filter.

BoltAI

  • Fixed

    • Resolved the misalignment issue of the BoltAI sidebar on desktops, which caused the dark orange bar to misalign with the main orange navigation.

    • Removed “Subject Line” from the copilot-generated subject line suggestions when creating a new conversation.

Campaigns

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue where the magic link login token [form:login_url] generated an incorrect URL, causing errors.

    • Resolved an issue where Campaign UTM settings would not save unless information was added to the email or the page was refreshed

    • Resolved the BoltAI sidebar interface positioning issue when editing a Campaign email.

    • Resolved an issue preventing the sending of preview links for personalization on campaigns.

Conversations

  • Improved

    • Renamed “Live Chat” to “Messenger” throughout the platform for consistency.

    • Added a favorite filter to the Conversations card on the new start page.

  • Fixed

    • The Messenger settings are now properly hidden when “Messenger” is disabled in the “Select Chatbot Channels” setting, matching the behavior of Email and SMS settings.

    • Removed the deprecated option to add starred conversations to the overview page.

    • We now automatically remove all style attributes from live chats (in copy-and-paste situations) on the backend to prevent occasional messages from appearing blank.

    • Resolved an issue where conversations would not re-open when an inbound email was received with only an attachment and the conversation was closed.

    • Improved the ability to read and learn from tables within URL sources in the Knowledge Base.

Data | Import + Export

  • Improved

    • Added the ability to export the email address field for hard bounce milestones (user-milestones-hardbounce-email-email).

    • Added "Volunteer" and "Agent" to the Default User Type options to include all profile types.

    • Updated the import configuration tab setting from "Import First Row in File" to "Skip First Row" to better match the behavior of excluding column header data.

    • Added the ability to export payment data using mappings that start with payments-.

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue where the default option for checkbox fields was not displayed as selected.

    • Resolved a scope warning issue with the slug user-family-email even when the scope is set.

    • Resolved an error that occurred when attempting to view a PDF in the media bin via a button on a Page, despite the URL functioning correctly.

    • Resolved an issue where clicking the checkbox next to the “Name” header in Templates to select all did not unselect all when clicked again.

Events

  • Fixed

    • Resolved the export functionality to display the registration status instead of “N/D” in the Status column of the attendee list.

    • Resolved an issue where event details, including location, would not display on the event page.

    • Removed the “Canceled - No Payment” event status option from the UI, as this status is exclusively used by the system and applied automatically at the event’s expiration date.

    • Events within a series are now displayed in the correct order on the series site.

    • Resolved an issue where the Total Events Attended trait incorrectly displayed 0 for contacts who had attended events, leading to inaccurate filter results.

Forms

  • Improved

    • Exposed the Form Type (prospect/simple) on the all forms table and added sorting functionality.

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue where, in some cases, the phone field showed a required validation when it was optional.

Insights

  • Improved

    • Restructured conversation-related data on the Conversations and Management Insights Dashboards for more granular and accurate daily activity reporting, including enhanced date controls to reflect conversation activities based on the actual date of activity.

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue where filtering by a specific tag in Campaign Insights returned no results.

Pages

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an error when linking a document to a button on a PDF while it opened fine from the Media Bin.

    • Resolved an issue where page navigation menu items were not displaying in edit mode or during preview.

People

  • Improved

    • New custom activities now automatically set the time value to the current time in your time zone.

    • Expanded the notes preview to display more of the note text on the profile card.

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue preventing the editing or deletion of imported notes.

    • Fixed: Removed an extra comma that was showing in addresses on profiles.

Settings + Permissions

  • Improved

    • Expanded and added the following individual permissions related to the Workflows + Rules module to offer more granular control over user access and actions: Access Workflows, Administer Workflows, Edit Own Workflows, Edit Team Workflows, Administer Workflow Folders. Read the release notes →

    • Expanded the “Edit Own Campaigns” permission to include the ability to delete, duplicate, and move their own campaigns to folders.

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue where users with both “View Only” and “My Appointments” permissions could edit anyone’s availability; now, they can view all appointments but only manage their own.

    • Resolved an issue where the option to email instructions during Sender Domain Authentication setup failed to send.

Surveys

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue where clicking a Survey tag a second time to deselect/un-filter did not remove the highlight, making it appear still selected.

Tasks

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue where disabled task statuses still appeared in the selection menu.

Workflows + Rules

  • Fixed

    • Resolved an issue preventing the renaming of steps in workflows + rules.

    • Resolved an issue with the "set user's property" workflow action to remove email address values.

    • Saving a new step or editing a step now returns you to the step where you left off instead of the first step.

Bolt Assistants for Staff represent the next evolution of our AI-powered personal assistant. While Copilot has served as an effective single assistant with module-specific skills, Bolt Assistants for Staff provides a suite of specialized digital assistants, each with unique knowledge and skills.

Bolt Discovery

Bolt Discovery redefines the search experience, transforming it into an intuitive and interactive journey. This groundbreaking feature, powered by Element451’s advanced Bolt AI technology, goes beyond traditional search methods.

Authenticated Forms

Introduced Authenticated Forms, a new form setting to enhance security by requiring identity verification, preventing duplicate records, and improving efficiency for contacts with existing records in Element451.

YouTube Knowledge Base Sources

Added support for YouTube Video and YouTube Channel source types, allowing BoltAI to use video transcripts for enhanced support through BoltBot and Copilot.

Integration Log

Introduced an Integration Log feature for detailed monitoring of data syncs and errors to enhance transparency and streamline troubleshooting for partners with managed integrations.

Enhancements to Campaigns

  • Custom Components: Save and reuse frequently used content rows, ensuring consistency and efficiency in your campaigns.

  • UTM Settings: Add UTM parameters to your Campaigns in a dedicated section, eliminating the need to configure them link by link.

  • Preview with Token Support: Preview email token content and personalization without sending it to a segment.
