Overview

The Element451 + Zoom integration makes it easy to host your events in Zoom and to automatically take attendance for the students who log into the Zoom-hosted event.

What data will be shared between Element451 + Zoom?

  • Meetings details: Allows us to display and update meeting details, including the advanced settings (only for meetings created through Element451).

  • Profile email: Used to display the account that is currently signed in for Zoom integration.

Connecting Zoom to Element451

  1. Navigate to the Engagement > Events > All Events.

  2. Create a new event and select the Make it a Zoom option.

  3. After creating your event, navigate to Event Overview > Event Date(s).

  4. Click the Login to Zoom button.

  5. The Zoom website will appear, where you will log in and allow Element451 permission to access your information. You'll need to check the box and click Allow.

When attempting to integrate with Zoom, if you receive an error stating that Zoom is unable to install this app because it needs pre-approval by your account admin, click here to visit our troubleshooting article to learn more.

  6. Once authorized, you will be redirected back to Element451, and now you will see the Zoom button in the top corner has been updated and now displays your email address. (Note: That button can also be used to log out of Zoom should you want to disconnect the integration).

  7. You are now ready to start creating Zoom events in Element451! For more information on managing Zoom-hosted events, please see How to use Zoom Integration in Events.

When creating and updating Zoom links from Element451, it is important to know that Zoom has a rate limit of 100 API requests per day per Zoom account. Remember, you may use more than one request when adding a Zoom link to an event. Limits are reset daily at midnight UTC.
