Knowing your audience and their interests, opinions, and preferences enables you better serve your students or constituencies. Element451's Survey Module empowers your institution to gather data and useful insights right from your Element451 instance.

To get started, navigate to engagement, then surveys.

Once there, you will notice a section for searching surveys, adding tags, listing existing surveys, and a blue button in the upper right corner with "New Survey."

Click on "New Survey," and the survey settings, template, and building form display. This is where the survey is set up and build.

First, you can name the survey and attach any relevant tags for organizing your surveys.

The Survey Settings section has two components: basic settings and advanced settings. The basic settings include an optional survey description, mode of display of the questions: linear or one-at the time, activate the survey toggle, and a date range for the survey's availability.

The Advanced Settings offer an opportunity to customize the look and feel of the survey. Namely, you can specify the primary and secondary font, an image and the size of the image, background color, a message for participants once the survey is no longer available, and an option to shuffle the order of the questions.

The Survey Template section allows you to pull from existing templates and modify them.

The Build section is where you create the questions for your survey. Clicking the gray plus button will display the different types of questions you can have. One by one, you then stack them to create the survey. If needed later, you can easily move the order of the questions by dragging the questions into the desired order. Each question has its own set of settings.

Chose the types of questions that would survey as easy and as quickly as possible for your constituencies.
