Overview
Like other modules in Element451, Organization Profiles have a few settings that allow the Organizations entirely to be customized to better meet the needs of your school. These include Organization Labels and Organization Types.
Organization Labels
Like labels for person records, organization labels can be used to tag, categorize, and group Organizations. While the concepts for Organization Labels are similar to People Labels, the labels themselves are distinct and separate.
Organizations can have multiple labels.
Adding a New Organization Label
To add a new Organization Label for use in Organizations:
Open the More actions list from the Organization List view and select "Organizations Settings." This will open the Organizations Settings sheet.
Add a new label by clicking on "+"
Name your label, select a color, and update the slug (if desired).
Click "Save"
Editing an Existing Organization Label
Open the More actions list from the Organization List view and select "Organizations Settings." This will open the Organizations Settings sheet.
Find the Label you wish to edit in the list.
Label name, color, and slug can be updated directly from the settings sheet.
Deleting an Existing Organization Label
Open the More actions list from the Organization List view and select "Organizations Settings." This will open the Organizations Settings sheet.
Find the Label you wish to delete from the list.
Click on the "More" actions menu at the end of the row and click "Delete."
Organization Types
Customizable Organization Types allow you to further categorize your organizations. The options for how you choose to group your organizations are endless. Some possibilities include:
Athletic Teams
Churches, Dioceses, Denominational conferences, etc.
Professional Organizations
Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)
Corporations
Feeder Colleges
Feeder High Schools
Note: While tracking Feeder Schools is an advantageous use case and one Element451 fully supports, we recommend creating these records on an as-needed basis and not recreating the entirety of the CEEB code list in the Organizations module.
Adding, Editing and Deleting Organization Types
Creating, editing, or deleting Organization Types can be done from the Organization Settings sheet.
The steps are similar to those above for labels.
