Release Notes: Option to Disable ReCAPTCHA on Forms

Released 09/13/2024

Overview

Element451 Forms now include a feature to disable ReCAPTCHA, offering greater control over user experience when collecting form submissions.

Details

  • The new ReCAPTCHA setting is located under the Content tab of each form.

  • You can now toggle ReCAPTCHA off for individual forms to reduce friction in specific scenarios, such as high-volume form submissions on shared devices (e.g., at college fairs).

  • ReCAPTCHA is enabled by default to protect against spam submissions.

Benefit

Disabling ReCAPTCHA can improve the form submission process in high-volume scenarios, such as college fairs, where users might experience friction when submitting forms from a shared device. This setting helps you capture more inquiries efficiently while retaining the ability to restore security measures.

This setting should be used judiciously and only in specific, temporary scenarios. It should never be used in a permanent state.
