Sharing StudentHub with Students
StudentHub access is shared via a URL specific to your institution. This URL can be distributed through various channels, including (but not limited to):
Email + SMS Campaigns
Social media posts
Orientation and other new student materials
Your institution's website or existing student portal
Remember, the more visible and accessible you make the StudentHub URL, the more likely students will engage with the tool.
Accessing Your StudentHub URL
To get started, direct students to your institution’s custom StudentHub URL (e.g., yourinstitution.campushub.ai). This link can be found in your StudentHub settings by navigating to Engagement > StudentHub within Element451.
Student Access: Step-by-Step Guide
To help your students access StudentHub, follow this simple step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Logging Into StudentHub
After using your StudentHub URL to navigate to the hub, students must use the login credentials they created when they began their application. If you utilize external SSO for external users, they will log in using those credentials.
After logging in, students will be taken to their personalized StudentHub, where they can explore upcoming events, schedule an appointment, find a connection within their network, and so much more!
Step 2: Enable Push Notifications:
Upon logging in, students will be prompted to allow notifications. For students to receive push notifications, they must have the app downloaded to their device and opt-in to receive push notifications. You can explore push notifications more here.
Step 3: Add to Home Screen for Mobile Access
To make it easier for students to access their StudentHub like a mobile app, guide them through adding it to their phone’s home screen.
Apple (iOS) Devices
Open Safari and navigate to the StudentHub URL.
Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
Select Add to Home Screen from the options, then tap Add.
Android Devices
In Chrome, visit the StudentHub URL.
Tap the three-dot menu in the corner of the screen.
Select Add to Home Screen and confirm by tapping Add again.
Now, students can access their StudentHub quickly and easily from their home screen and view any notification alerts at a glance.
Students must add the StudentHub to their home screen and enable push notifications to receive them.
Best Practices for Adoption + Engagement
To maximize student adoption and engagement with StudentHub, consider the following:
Provide instructions on how to access and use StudentHub.
Consider hosting virtual or in-person sessions at orientation and other events to walk students through accessing and using StudentHub.
Create short video tutorials demonstrating key features of StudentHub.
Send periodic reminders about StudentHub, highlighting its benefits.
