Campaign communications can now dynamically reference a student's course, section, and enrollment data using tokens. This means mass emails and messages can include personalized academic details, like a student's course name, instructor, current grade, or enrollment status, without the need for manual segmentation.
New Token Categories in the Campaign Editor: When composing a campaign communication, you can now insert tokens that dynamically reference a student's academic context. Tokens are organized into three categories, Course, Section, and Enrollment, and are available directly from the token picker.
Course Tokens:
Course Name
Course Number
Course Credits
Course Department
Section Tokens:
Section Code
Section Term
Section Instructor
Section Instructor Email
Section Times (renders as a table of all scheduled day and time entries for that section)
Enrollment Tokens:
Enrollment Status
Grade Risk
Current Grade (Text and Number)
Final Grade (Text and Number)
Last LMS Login
Last Attended Date
Course and Section Selection: When inserting a course token, you'll be prompted to select the specific course and section the token should reference. Section lists are filtered to the selected course so you can quickly find the right one.
Works With Grade Risk Trigger: Course tokens pair naturally with the Grade Risk Detection trigger, which automatically scopes tokens to the relevant enrollment context—no additional configuration needed.
Personalization drives student engagement, and engagement drives student success. With course tokens for Campaigns, you can proactively reach students with timely, relevant communications tied to their academic journey.
Whether it's nudging a student whose grade is at risk, connecting them with their instructor, or reminding them about an upcoming section, these messages can now go out at scale without manual effort. By removing the need to create segments for every course or instructor combination, teams can spend less time on logistics and more time on the interventions that keep students on track toward completion.
