To Be Released: TBD
This release was originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2026, but has been delayed temporarily. Weโll update this release note once a new release date is confirmed.
This release extends visibility group enforcement to Tasks and Appointments. Previously, visibility groups applied to Conversations but not to Tasks or Appointments, creating inconsistency in how access was controlled across activities. With this update, Tasks and Appointments access will now align with contact visibility.
Visibility group enforcement for Tasks and Appointments: Users without visibility group access to a contact will not see:
Related Tasks (exceptions apply for task assignees and subscribers)
Related Appointments (exceptions apply for appointment owners)
Alignment with contact visibility: Access to tasks and appointments now mirrors contact-level visibility, consistent with how conversations already behave.
Exceptions for key users: Task assignees/subscribers and appointment owners retain access to activities they are directly involved in, regardless of visibility group settings.
These updates bring access behavior across Tasks and Appointments in line with contact visibility, reducing inconsistency for teams using visibility groups. Admins should review visibility group settings now to ensure staff retain access to the contacts and activities they need.
๐ Note: This is one of several upcoming releases design to enhance and refine our permission offerings. Stay tuned for additional releases in the coming weeks.
