Over the last few weeks, we've worked hard to provide enhancements to Applications, Forms and Payments to make them more useful and streamline your use of these features. Our theme for these new improvements is a tight focus on flexibility and conditional logic.

Below is an overview of these important updates.

PDF Generation

Forms are a core feature in Element, enabling you to capture data and build person profiles from users responding to hosted forms on Pages or embedding them on your own web properties. Element administrators can now optionally generate print-friendly PDFs from form submissions. PDFs are available on all form types in Element including forms on Pages, embedded forms, main and follow-up forms, and application supplemental forms.

Supplemental Forms for Apps

Supplemental application forms are a useful feature for institutions that need to collect additional information from applicants after submitting a primary application. These can be used for several use cases, such as residency verifications, enrollment agreements, and more. Supplemental forms are now available for Element administrators to create and add to existing applications.

Conditional Payments for Application Fees and Deposits

Applications on Element can now use conditional logic to display different payment options for deposits or application fees. This flexibility is extremely useful for institutions that need to display different payment options for different application types. For example, using different payment processors for international applicants versus domestic or charging different fees for different types of applicants.

Application Submissions Prevention Rules

There are times when it's beneficial to prevent users from submitting an application if certain criteria are met (or not). For example, institutions may want to prevent an out-of-state student from submitting an in-state application or to prevent current students from submitting an application, among other use cases.

With our latest update, Element administrators can prevent users from submitting an application using custom criteria with application submission prevention rules.
