Introducing Custom Conversation Views—a powerful way to organize your conversation inbox. Create personalized views tailored to your workflow, helping you manage conversations more efficiently and focus on what matters most.
Details
What are Custom Views?
Custom Views are saved, filtered views of your conversation inbox. Unlike preset System Views (e.g., “Open,” “Assigned to Me”), Custom Views allow you to save filters that align with your unique workflow needs.
Key Features
Custom View Creation
The ability to create or manage Custom Views depends on your level of access. Custom Views can be created and edited from both Conversation Settings (admins only) and the Advanced Filter Sidesheet in the inbox.
Build your views using existing conversation filters such as assignee, status, Bolt Assistant participation, tag, channel, privacy, and more.
This update also introduces the ability to filter by multiple assignees (individuals, teams, or a combination of both).
A 'restrict to' setting allows you to limit custom view visibility to specific users, teams, or a combination of both. You can select multiple users, teams, or a mix of individual users and teams. By default, views are public for all internal users with access to conversations.
Applying Custom Views
Access and apply custom views from the same dropdown in the conversation inbox where system views are listed. Views are now organized into two sections:
Custom Views: Listed first, with titles and descriptions for easy identification.
System Views: Preset filters that cannot be changed or deleted.
Persistent Custom View Selection
Builds on persistent filtering (introduced in July). If you select a Custom View and navigate away from the inbox, you’ll return to the same view when you return. This ensures a consistent experience and saves time.
Benefit
Custom Conversation Views allow you to tailor your inbox experience, reducing time spent searching for conversations and improving organization. Whether managing team workflows, prioritizing tasks, or tracking specific issues, this feature helps you work more efficiently.
