Video Overview
Anonymous Conversations
We have introduced a new setting that allows anonymous conversations via SMS and email from numbers and email addresses not in your contacts. This feature enhances communication flexibility by removing filters to permit messages from unknown contacts to be delivered to your inbox.
Details
Enable anonymous conversations to receive SMS and emails from unknown numbers and email addresses.
Previously, only messages from contacts saved in your records would appear in your inbox. Now, you have the option to allow all incoming messages.
This setting will be disabled by default. Enabling anonymous conversations means no filtering will be applied, and every email sent to the email address connected to Element451 will be forwarded to your Element451 inbox.
Benefit
This update provides greater communication flexibility, allowing you to connect with prospective students, parents, or other contacts who are not yet in your contact list, thus opening new opportunities for engagement and interaction.
Choose Primary, Secondary, or School Email in Conversations
When creating new email conversations, you can now select the recipient's email address (if more than one exists). This update provides more flexibility by allowing you to choose from primary, secondary, or school email addresses.
Details
When creating new email conversations, you can now choose to send to a contact’s primary, secondary, or school email address.
Previously, emails could only be sent to a contact’s primary email address.
Benefit
This update allows you to tailor your email communications by selecting the most appropriate email address, enhancing the relevance and effectiveness of your interactions with contacts.
Private Conversations
Private Conversations allow only the author, participants, and assignees (including Teams) to view a conversation. This feature ensures that sensitive information is only accessible to those directly involved.
Details
Only the author, participants, and assignees (including Teams) can view private conversations.
When starting a conversation, you can mark it as private.
For existing conversations, you can enable private mode from within the manage tab of the conversation.
Private conversations can be identified by a lock icon.
The View All Private Conversations permission allows users to access all conversations, regardless of privacy settings. This permission is ideal for administrators who need access to view private conversations.
Benefit
This feature ensures that sensitive information remains confidential, providing a secure communication channel for private discussions and sensitive topics.
Visibility Groups for Conversations
Visibility Groups for Conversations utilize existing visibility groups to restrict access to conversations. This ensures that if someone lacks access to see a contact’s profile, they won’t be able to see their conversations.
Details
Conversation access is restricted based on existing visibility groups.
If you lack access to a contact’s profile, you won’t be able to see their conversations.
The author, assignees, and participants (including Teams) can still see the conversation regardless of visibility group restrictions.
Benefit
This feature enhances data security and privacy by ensuring that conversations are only accessible to authorized users, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
