This update introduces a new permission, View Full Date of Birth, that controls whether a user can see a student's complete date of birth. Without this permission, the DOB field displays as MM/DD/****, masking the birth year. With it, the full date (MM/DD/YYYY) is visible. Upon release, any user who currently holds a Contact view, edit, or admin permission will have this permission enabled automatically.
New permission: "View Full Date of Birth" controls access to a student's unmasked date of birth at the user role level.
Masked display (without permission) shows the DOB field as MM/DD/****, concealing the birth year from unauthorized users.
Full display (with permission) shows the complete date in MM/DD/YYYY format.
Automatic permission assignment on release applies this permission to all existing users who hold any Contact view, edit, or admin permission; no manual action is required for those users.
Admins can now restrict access to student date of birth data at the role level, reducing exposure of private information to staff who don't need it. Teams handling compliance or data privacy requirements gain a direct control without needing to restrict broader Contact access.
