Live Chat
Overview: We have updated the look and feel of the Live Chat Messenger and added more customization opportunities, providing visitors with an even better experience as they engage with your staff or BoltBot!
You can find these updates by navigating to Engagement > Conversations > Settings > Live Chat.
Details:
Room to Breathe: We've increased the size of the chat widget, updated fonts, and other user experience improvements making the messenger experience more friendly and easier to interact with.
βBackground Image: You can customize your messenger header by adding your own background image allowing you another place to showcase your institutional look and feel.
Conversation Starters: Prepare prompts to assist students or visitors to start interacting with you. To further personalize the experience, you can add conditions to each conversation starter. Good for all Live Chat interactions and great for starter prompts for your BoltBot!
Messenger Preview: Preview changes in real-time as you configure live chat settings without leaving the page.
BoltBot
BoltBot Settings
Overview: We have updated the settings for BoltBot to enhance the organization of your configuration options.
You can find these updates by navigating to Engagement > Conversations > Settings > BoltBot.
Details:
Enable BoltBot Main Control: The "Enable BoltBot" control has been removed, and you now enable BoltBot through the Select Chatbot Channel chips. When all chips are disabled (gray), BoltBot is disabled.

βReorganization: BoltBot settings are now organized and separated relative to general and channel-specific settings to help you find and control configurations quickly and easily.
βBoltBot Preview: BoltBot Preview received a refresh, so you can continue to preview and test using a demo conversation.
BoltBot Inquiry Skill
Overview: BoltBot has a new Inquiry Flow skill that gathers key information from prospective students and submits an inquiry on their behalf.
Details:
If the student says they're interested in studying or studying a specific major, BotBot will start the inquiry flow to gather the following information:
Intended major
Intended term
First name
Last name
Email

Upon successful collection of the information, BoltBot will create a new inquiry for the student. If the student has an existing record and no date of inquiry milestone, one will be added. If the student does not exist in Element451, a user will be created with a date of inquiry milestone.
Knowledge Base Update
Overview: You can now directly upload files to the Knowledge Base to expand and enrich the information leveraged by our AI tools- BoltBot and Copilot.
Details:
File Upload Source Type: The new file upload source type in the Knowledge Base allows you to easily add knowledge in file form by importing files in the following formats: .eml, .html, .json, .md, .msg, .rst, .rtf, .txt, .xml, .jpeg, .png, .csv, .doc, .docx, .epub, .odt, .pdf, .ppt, .pptx, .tsv, .xlsx.
