Overview

As our article Getting Started with StudentHub outlines, StudentHub is your students’ AI-powered, mobile-first companion designed for their engagement and success. Seamlessly integrated with Element451, it centralizes everything students need—from appointments and tasks to events and support networks—into one unified experience.

This article will walk you through the key features of StudentHub, detailing what students can explore and access.

StudentHub Menu Items

StudentHub is divided into five major sections or menu items accessible by a bottom navigation menu (left-hand navigation for tablets).

Use the collapsable sections below to check out what each page offers:

Explore

The Explore section is the student’s personalized home page, offering a central hub for all their essential information. Upon logging in, students are greeted with a customized message.

This page is designed to provide quick, easy access to key resources and upcoming activities, making it effortless for students to stay on top of their commitments.

Here is what can be found on the Explore page (for a deeper dive into each module that StudentHub integrates with, check out the last section of this article):

  • Bolt Discovery: Students can find information about your institution using Bolt Discovery, a powerful generative search tool. Prompt starters are also supported here to guide students in their queries.

  • Upcoming Appointments: This section displays future appointments booked through the Element451 Appointments module. Students can tap on each appointment to view details or to edit or cancel the appointment.

  • Registered Events: Students can see their upcoming registered events through the Element451 Events module. They can tap an event registration to view event details, make edits, or cancel their registration if needed. Event self-check-in is also integrated into StudentHub.

  • Incomplete Tasks: In this section, students can view tasks assigned by an internal user. These tasks have not yet been completed, and students can tap on each task to view more details or mark it complete (if permissions allow).

Resources

The Resources section centralizes all campus information in one place, giving students quick and easy access to what they need—no more sifting through website pages, emails, or text messages. Students can seamlessly navigate and manage their academic journey with everything in one unified location.

Students can find the following resources here (for a dive deep into each one of these, check out the next section of this article):

  • 🏟 Events

  • 🗓 Appointments

  • ✅ Tasks

  • 👪 My Network

  • 📖 Course Data Integration - Coming Soon

Chat

The Chat menu item in StudentHub features the embedded Messenger widget, connecting to the Element451 conversations module and live chat channel. Students receive round-the-clock support from Bolt AI Student Assistants and human support when available.

Notifications

The Notifications section of StudentHub keeps students updated on important announcements, reminders, and calls to action. Integrated with the Element451 Campaigns module, it allows you to incorporate push notifications seamlessly into your campaigns—alongside SMS and email messaging.

When students open Notifications, they’ll see two tabs:

  • Unread: Displays any new notifications that haven’t been viewed. Once tapped, the notification is marked read and moves to the All tab.

  • All: Houses all notifications, both read and unread, for easy reference.

For a comprehensive guide on how push notifications work and how to start using them, check out our StudentHub: Push Notifications article!

Profile

The Profile menu item contains the student's basic contact information:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email

  • Phone

The profile page is also where a student can sign out of the StudentHub.

Integrated Element451 Modules

StudentHub is a direct extension of Element451’s powerful features, bringing essential resources like BoltAI tools directly to your students—all in one convenient place. Instead of scattered URLs or multiple emails, StudentHub centralizes everything right in the palm of your students' hands.

Below, we explore the modules that sync with Element451, detailing the functionality within StudentHub Resources:

BoltAI

BoltAI, Element451’s suite of AI-powered student tools, is embedded directly within StudentHub.

  • The Explore page features Bolt Discovery for instant, generative search—giving students direct access to accurate answers from your institution’s knowledge base without the hassle of traditional search.

  • Additionally, students can connect with Bolt AI Student Assistants through the Messenger widget, offering around-the-clock support right in the hub.

Appointments

Powered by the Element451 Appointments module, StudentHub displays your team's availability, empowering students to schedule, view, and cancel appointments—all in one place.

Available

  • Displays a list of internal users with availabilities (job title and name), just like your Appointments Site, and provides access to their booking page. They can schedule an appointment directly within StudentHub without leaving the platform. We cover appointment scheduling + details further down.

  • Students can browse the complete list of availabilities using search and filter options to find exactly who/what they need.

My Appointments

  • Displays all upcoming and past appointments that the student has scheduled.

  • Students can tap on any appointment to view its details (explained below).

Internal User's Availability Page

Students are taken to their availability listing once a user has been selected from the Available Appointments page. You can think of this page as a condensed version of a user's booking page.

From here, students can view the different availability options for that user and select one by clicking 'schedule.' The appointment details page will open, providing more information and access to reviewing date and time options.

Appointment Details + Appointment Scheduling

Students can review the basic appointment information on the Appointment Details Page, including location, duration, and description.

Once ready to schedule the appointment, they can tap "Pick a Time" at the bottom of the screen to select a date and time based on availability.

Once a date and time have been selected, they can complete the appointment scheduling form to secure the spot.

Once scheduling the appointment is complete, students can see their Appointment Details.

Appointment Scheduled Details

Immediately after scheduling an appointment or opening the scheduled appointment later, you will open the Appointment Scheduled Details page. Here, the student can:

  • Cancel Appointment: Option to cancel the appointment.

  • Add to Calendar: Opens the device's default calendar app and prompts the student to add the appointment to their calendar.

Campaigns

With StudentHub, push notifications become a part of your campaign strategy, reaching students instantly through a dedicated Notifications menu item. For a deeper dive into setting up and using push notifications, see our StudentHub: Push Notifications article.

Conversations

The Chat menu item in StudentHub connects seamlessly with Element451’s Messenger channel. Students can easily engage with live support or AI assistance, managed through the Conversations module.

Events

Seamlessly integrates with the Element451 Events module to bring your event calendar into StudentHub. Students can easily browse, register, manage their registrations, and even self-check-in (if enabled).

Upcoming

  • The "upcoming" tab lists forthcoming events with open registration, just like your Events Site.

  • Students can browse the complete event list using search and filter options to find exactly what they need.

  • Plus, they can register for any event directly within StudentHub without leaving the platform. We cover event registration + details further down.

My Events

  • Displays all upcoming and past events that the student has registered for.

  • Students can simply tap on any event to view its details (explained below).

Event Details

Students can tap on any event to view more information. You can think of the Event Details page as a condensed version of your Event Landing Page. We even provide a More Details link to access that specific event's landing page directly.

Students can find basic event information on the Event Details Page, such as location, available spots, description, and presenter information. In addition to basic information, the page offers:

  • Upcoming Dates + Times: A listing of upcoming dates and times for that event (if the event is repeatable and has other future date occurrences). Each date/time occurrence will have a 'register' button that opens the event registration form.

  • Your Upcoming Registrations: When students view the Event Details page of an event they're already registered for, we list the student's upcoming registration(s) with a link to their event registration details. This will appear above the Upcoming Dates & Times card. Here is an example:

Event Registration + Details

From the Event Details page of any event, students can register for an event by tapping 'register' on one of the available times. The event registration form will open for the student to complete and submit.

Once submitted, the Event Registration Details page will appear, which includes their confirmation code. From this page, they have two options:

  • Event Details: View the Event Details page for general event information.

  • Edit or Cancel Registration: Options to edit or cancel as needed.

Event Self-Check-In

Event self-check-in is fully compatible with StudentHub, making it quick and easy for students to check-in.

When the event’s self-check-in setting is enabled, students receive an email prompt at the designated check-in time. Simultaneously, we display a Check-In button on the Event Details page in StudentHub. One tap on the button instantly checks them in, and their attendance status is automatically updated in Element to “Attended.” It’s a seamless, one-step process to ensure accurate event tracking.

People + My Network

Within People, the My Network feature connects students to their key support contacts—like advisors and faculty—through a dedicated profile card. This personalized network provides quick access to essential resources to help students navigate their journey effectively.

Also, since students are authenticated when accessing StudentHub, name, and email fields can be hidden from form fields when registering for events or scheduling appointments, simplifying their interactions.

Tasks

Integrates with the Element451 Tasks module, allowing you to assign and track to-dos assigned to students using Contact Tasks. Students can view their upcoming and completed tasks, mark tasks as complete, and you can automate assignments through workflows.

The tasks page provides, at a glance, a student's upcoming (incomplete) and completed tasks. To open the task's details, tap on the task.

Task Details + Marking Tasks Complete

On the Task Details Page, students can learn more about the task that was assigned to them. Here, they can see the task's name, the due date/time, the priority, the current status, and a description.

If the task setting allows for self-completion, the task will have a Mark As Complete button at the bottom of the page. Tapping this button will mark the task as complete.

Internal users also have the option to mark contact tasks as complete in the Tasks module.

StudentHub is available exclusively to Partners on the Engage plan.
